GETTING STARTED

How do I sign up for PrimeScribe?

Getting started is easy and takes just a few minutes. Call us at 646-290-5929 or fill out this form for a no-obligation quote. If you decide to use our services, we will gather all the required information and help you select the package that makes most sense for you. Typically within 48 hours we will e-mail you all the information you need, including a user ID, password and instructions on how to use our dictation system and the Web-EMR. You are ready to go.

How long does it take until PrimeScribe can service my account?

PrimeScribe can usually accept dictations within one working day from opening your account. It takes a few days longer if you have a lot of work-types and templates. Setting up hand-helds usually takes one week (mostly due to ordering the devices from your favorite retailer). Please keep in mind that we can not guarantee accuracy and turn-around time for 1 to 4 weeks - depending on the size of your account. Please see our disclaimers.
NOTE: Implementing electronic interfaces to your HIS and related services will take longer. Please ask us for an estimate.

Do I have to buy any equipment to get started?

No. All you need is a PC, an Internet connection and a touch-tone phone to get started. There is no dictation equipment to buy and no tapes to stock.
NOTE: PrimeScribe's hand-held solutions require the purchase of digital recorders. Please ask us for details.

System Availability

PrimeScribe is available 24/7, 365 days. This means you can dictate patient records any time it’s convenient for you – at the office, at home, or wherever. You have the freedom to work when you want and where you want. Documents may be viewed or downloaded anytime anywhere. See our summary for everything PrimeScribe delivers.

PRICING

What does PrimeScribe cost?

Cost per line is $0.11. Discounts are available to high volume customers. Additional charges may apply for the Web-EMR depending on your requirements and volume. PrimeScribe offers a variety of pricing packages to fit your individual needs, please call us we may help you find the most cost-effective solution for you.

What form of payment can I use?

PrimeScribe bills at the beginning of each month for all fees incurred in the preceding month. Customers may chose to pay by invoice - net 15.

DICTATION

How do I submit my dictations?

Dictations can be submitted through toll-free telephone lines. We also offer digital handheld recorders that may be used to submit dictations.

Does PrimeScribe provide dictation equipment?

PrimeScribe requires no equipment except for telephones. If you wish to use hand-helds, we support the Philips Pocket Memo and Olympus. We support some additional models, please call for details. The cost of the units is nominal, and we can arrange for these to be delivered. WE DO NOT CHARGE FOR INSTALLATION OR SETUP.

TRANSCRIPTION

What’s the normal turnaround time for reports?

Reports are transcribed and delivered to your account within 48 hours, usually within 24 hours.

Who are your transcriptionists?

PrimeScribe only hires and contracts (directly) with experienced transcriptionists. Our quality is among the highest in the industry. We exceed the American Association of Medical Transcription (AAMT) standards and deliver a 98%+ accuracy rate. We are an international supplier of services and our transcriptionists are located around the world.

How is my dictation processed?

After you signup, our transcriptionists will receive the dictations submitted by you. The dictation will be transcribed, checked for accuracy by experienced QA supervisors and then released back to you through online methods.

How do I receive my transcriptions?

When you sign up, you are given a login name and password that allows you to access your transcriptions on our website, http://www.primescribe.com. You can then view and print your transcriptions online or download them to your computer. From here, you can send the report to anyone via email or fax. This can be accessed from ANY computer that provides internet access!

How secure are my patient records?

PrimeScribe uses the highest security protocols available today so you are assured of 100% security. Your private account is password protected so only authorized users can access your transcribed patient information.
